It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph George Janji on June 26, 2025.
Joseph George Janji was born in Zable, Lebanon on June 10, 1943 to George Stephan Janji and Adele Saikaly Janji. He came to the United States in 1969 and lived first in Florida and then moved to Huffman, Texas and lived there for the past fifty years. Joe loved to travel and he had a great sense of humor. He owned a gas station in Huffman for many years and was a master mechanic by trade and loved anything to do with cars.
He was the father to three children, Elizabeth Aguero, Barbara Janji Ortega, and George Janji (and wife Carmen), who all reside in Florida. As well as four grandchildren, (Sophia Ortega, Robert Aguero, Brandon Villar, and Sebastian Villar and two great grandchildren Leila Perez and Aria Perez.
He is predeceased by his parents, George and Adele Saikaly Janji; and his siblings, Nabil Janji and Lili Janji. He is sadly missed by his five surviving siblings, Noha Chebli, Zeina Saikaly, Renee Sawaya, Amal Crabtree and Stephan George Janji and their families; as well as numerous other family members who reside in the United States, Canada, Australia, Bahrain, Greece and Lebanon.
Joseph George Janji was loved by many and will be missed by all, but we can take great comfort in knowing he's in the arms of our Lord.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Humble, Texas and Joseph was laid to rest alongside his family in Rosewood Memorial Park in Humble, Texas on July 2, 2025.
