John Anthony Savelli started his life journey on May 6, 1976 in a military hospital in Berlin, Germany.
His travels started then - as a child he moved many times and finally called Texas home. He made friends everywhere he went.
John had a robust energy and wanted to get the most out of life. Graduated Kempner High School in Sugar Land, Texas and received his Associate degree in Engineering Science with high honors May 2018. Along the way he also picked up a drafting degree.
He started working in the oilfield doing service on drilling monitoring equipment, which took him to places like, Angola, Argentina, and the Caribbean also offshore. He then switched careers to completing valve controls for the gas pipeline.
At that time in his life his love was his Harley Davidson motorcycle and Jack Daniels. He took many trips on his Harley but was most happy with his Sturgis trip.
He was licensed as a ham radio operator and made contact with the space station. He also learned morse code and used it with his radio.
He started a company – JS Technical Consulting, where he created an app for sizing tubing used in the gas pipeline controls. He patented the app and began selling it.
Finally, he found his last love – Trucking! He loved the freedom and travel. Stevens Trucking was a great place for John since they were so helpful to him. After driving for Stevens he became an owner operator and decided to work toward having his own company, Omega Trucklines.
He was the Wolf and wanted to add drivers to his wolf pack. Unfortunately, he was unable to complete this goal. He just ran out of time and passed away June 8, 2026 in Effingham, Illinois in his truck.
John leaves behind his entire family. Daughter, Kayla Savelli; grandchildren, Kaylin and Kyndell; Mother, Alice Roberts; sister, Lisa Lauck; brother, Eryk Hess; and his many, many friends.
