John H Lipsey

John H. Lipsey, age 71, passed away unexpectedly on March 3, 2018. He was born on January 31, 1947 in Houston, where he was raised. After high school, he served his country for 6 years in the US Army and spent part of it stationed in Germany. John worked for over 30 years as an engineer for the railroad before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mabel Lipsey; brother, David Lipsey; and granddaughter, Alexis Mae Lipsey. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lipsey; children, Matt Lipsey, Paula Ivey and Jay Lipsey; grandchildren, Justin Ivey, Joshua Lipsey, Jessica Lipsey, Luke Ivey, Elizabeth Moore and Christian Lipsey; great grandchildren, Brayden Ivey and Jordyn C. Ann Moore; and his siblings, Judith and Thomas Carrol, Paula and David Zettergren and Howard Lipsey.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Eickenhorst Funeral

Services, 1712 N. Frazier, St 115, Conroe, Texas 77301. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Houston National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be some of his railroad brothers and Justin Ivey.
