John G. Duarté Jr. was born to John and Rebecca Duarté on Valentine’s Day in 1955 in beautiful Fort Carson, Colorado. John went to be with his lord and savior one month before his 66th birthday on the 14th of January 2021. During his childhood, John lived with his sister Rosemary Garcia in Hidden Valley and eventually graduated from Aldine Senior High school in 1974.
In his early life, John married his wife Denice in 1976. John loved riding motorcycles and going to the beach. In addition to his love of motorcycles and spending time on the coast John also adored music and was an accomplished drummer. You could say that John spent most of his life in service to others- John was a lifetime member of the Spring Texas fire department. John started as a volunteer firefighter for Spring Texas in 1986 and was promoted through the ranks until 2001 when he achieved the position of Fire Chief. Along with being devoted to his community through his service in the fire department, John also worked from 2004-2021 as a painter for the local Woodlands Resort.
John was preceded in death by both of his parents and his brother, Felipe Romero Jr. John is survived by his loving wife, Denice Duarté; children, Christina Duarté and Tiffany Sierra; grandchildren Avery and Jose Sierra; and lastly his wonderful sisters, Rosemary Garcia and Lydia Delgado.
In lieu of traditional flowers as expressions of sympathy for the family, Denice Duarté asks that contributions be made via Facebook through the families GoFundMe.
