Joan Gay (Wilson-Hardin) Chambers, of Spring TX, entered the arms of her loving savior Jesus Christ on May 17, 2016 and is once again holding her true love Bill’s hand. She was the beloved daughter of the late W.H. and Mabel Wilson. She leaves behind 4 children: Debbi, Brenda (Keith), Kathy (Glenn), James (Theresa), 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Her brother Mickey Wilson and his family whom she adored.
Mama loved her daughters immensely, however there was no mistake James was her favorite. He was lovingly teased and with a grin, he was more than proud to say “that’s right, I know I’m her favorite.”
Joan was Executive Secretary of Service at Bland Cadillac for 25 years, during which time she made many friends and grew to love her Bland co-workers as family.
Alzheimer’s stole her mind but could not steal her heart. Her endless love was evident as she would say, “I love you and I always will” until she could no longer speak. Our Precious Mother will be missed more than words can express and our tears will fall until there are no more. Like our love for our beautiful Mother, the pain of losing her will never end but our blessing in this life is to know we will one day be reunited with her in heaven.
Joan’s desire was for everyone to know the love of her Savior Jesus Christ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Breast Cancer Research Foundation, in memory of Joan Gay Chambers.
