Jeffrey Matthew Smrekar, age 39 of Conroe, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
He was born December 16, 1983, in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, to his parents Tim and Cherrie (Hewitt) Smrekar. Jeff moved to Ohio in 1990 with his family and graduated from Charles F. Brush High School in 2002.
Jeff enlisted in the US Army and served in Kosovo and later assisted with Hurricane Katrina as a member of the Army National Guard. He was a carpenter, contractor and recently a commercial electrician, working for Lake Area Electric .
Jeff enjoyed life and loved to have a good time. He had many passions in life including motorcycles, boats, ATVs and basically anything that was fast and too expensive. Jeff also enjoyed trips to the beach, fishing, and kayaking. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and close friends. Many of those memories included Twisted Tea.
Jeff is survived by his beloved wife Miranda, who he married May 14, 2016. Also surviving are his son Austin Lyric Smrekar, his daughter Lanie Grae Smrekar, his parents Cherrie and Tim Smrekar, his brother Mike (Charniah) Smrekar, his twin sister Katie (Mike) Darrah, his grandmother Pat Hewitt, along with his loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, including his dogs Jack-O-Bean and Lucy.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents Don and Edith Smrekar, and Bob Hewitt.
