Jean Maurice "John" Leroux

July 27, 1957 — January 26, 2024

Jean Maurice (John) Leroux of Willis, Montgomery County, Texas was born on July 27, 1957, and passed away on January 26, 2024, at the age of 66.

John Leroux left his hometown of Cornwall, Ontario at the age of 17 and moved on his own to Texas to create his “American Dream”. A self-made man, John Leroux typically worked sunup to sundown. Born with the gift of a “green thumb,” he was essentially a self-taught botanist with a creative eye for landscape design, tree farming, and agriculture. Owner of Tree Marketing Firm and its Creations, John worked for years with several area home builders, contractors, florists, and other exterior designers. An enduring reader, learner, and listener, John was also fluent in French, English, and Spanish. He loved spending time with his family and lifelong friends, being outdoors or traveling with his son, spending time with his animals, tending to his garden and farm, attending car shows, watching NFL football, and otherwise living life to its fullest. John was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Houston and New Waverly Catholic Church.

John is survived by his son, Jacob Marshall Leroux of Austin, Texas, his sisters Ginette Lefave and Terry Laurin, and brother, Marcel Leroux - all of Cornwall, Ontario. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Fleurette and Romeo Leroux of Cornwall, Ontario.
