Janice Paris Barnot was called home on December 9, 2023. She was born on June 18, 1949, in Niles, Ohio to Camel and Regina Paris. She is preceded in death by her father, Camel Paris, mother, Regina Paris, and brother Jim Paris. She is survived by her sister, Carol Vilhosky and husband Joe, Jackie Smith Stamas and her husband Grant; son, Edward Barnot and his wife Linda; daughter, Melissa Vaughn and her husband Stephen; grandchildren, Morgan Talley, Payton Vaughn, and Victoria Luckey; niece, Lori Smith; and nephew, Jeff Smith; as well as many other family and friends.
Spending time with her family was her greatest joy. To say Jan was an Astros fan, just doesn’t do her love of the game justice. A tradition that started years ago was “Jammie’s at Grammy’s”. Every year for Christmas Eve, you would go to her house dressed in your jammies. We are asking that you come in your favorite Christmas "jammie’s", or Astros gear in her honor.
In true fashion, she wanted a party in her honor, NOT funeral. If you would like to celebrate with us, tell stories of your favorite moments or just stop in will be having her “party” Sunday, December 17th from 11 AM to 3 PM at Huskey’s Pasture Party Barn at 25062 SH 159, Hempstead, TX, 77445.
Our family thanks each one of you for your prayers, kindness, and loving gestures during our time of grief. She is greatly missed already but she will never be forgotten.
