James Michael Joublanc, son of Jean Joublanc and Scott Joublanc, died of cholangiocarcinoma at MD Anderson Hospital on November 15, 2025. Mike was born on March 10, 1981, in Baytown, TX. Mike grew up in the Cypress, TX area where he attended school and dove for Cypress High School.
Mike dove for the Woodlands U.S. Diving Team with Kenny Armstrong, U.S. Olympic Diving Coach. He continued his diving career with Coach Jim Hocking earning an athletic scholarship to the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
Mike graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science in 2007 and from Sam Houston State University with a Master of Science in Criminal Justice in 2011. Mike was a Paramedic for the Montgomery County Hospital District for 7 years.
Mike loved his dogs, Jenna and Kay Cee and enjoyed his Cobra Mustang convertible and Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was an avid collector of Predator and Alien memorabilia and accomplished woodworker.
Mike was known for his competitive spirit, and he loved mentoring new EMT and Paramedic colleagues. He had the ability to help them identify their strengths and suggest actions to assist them in areas needing improvement.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 22, 2025, from 1 – 4pm at the Montgomery County Hospital District HQ, 1400 S Loop 336 W, Conroe, TX 77304 in the second floor Training Room.
