Jacqueline C. Bushman “Jackie” was born December 22, 1935 and passed away on March 8, 2024. Jackie was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She lived her entire life in Houston. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was involved in the Ladies Circle, Women’s Club group and the 39 Club for years. She was a member of Hermann Sons, Lodge 100 for over 75 years, where she was the financial secretary and insurance saleswoman. Jackie was an avid bowler throughout her life. She bowled in numerous tournaments to include the National Women’s Tournament in which she received an award for bowling over 25 years. She loved her bowling trips. She also enjoyed reading, especially her crime novels. In her later years, she moved into Tarrytowne Estates where she made numerous friends and loved playing cards and dominos with them.
Jackie was preceded in death by her mother, Faye Adeline Clay and father, James A Clay. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia F. Bushman and Kathy B. Anderson Gallegos and husband, Steve Gallegos. She had her grandchildren, Jennifer Cool and husband, Tristan, Hunter Anderson, Michael Alcarez and wife Anna, and Lorne Naff. She also has her great granddaughter, Marcelyne Anita Faye Cool, whom she loved dearly and so happy to have had the chance to meet. And also great granddaughter Rebeka Joachim and husband Jeremy, and great-great grandson, Julian Ambrose Joachim, whom she loved meeting dearly.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 800 Houston Ave, Houston, Tx 77007 (Downtown next to main police department). The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with internment afterwards in Rosewood Memorial Park in Humble, Tx.
