Jackie Ted Bradford went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 16, 2025. He was surrounded by family at the time of his passing, a testament to the deep love and connection he shared with those closest to him.
Early Life and Education
Jackie was born on April 26, 1940, in Alto, Texas to Johnnie Levi and Oma Lee Bradford. He spent his formative years in Conroe, Texas, where he graduated from Conroe High School as part of the Class of 1959. His time at Conroe High was filled with cherished memories and lifelong friendships.
A Love Story
Jackie married his childhood sweetheart, Carolyn Morris Bradford, on September 27, 1958. Their love story was one for the ages, beginning in their youth and growing stronger with each passing year.
Professional Life
Jackie (J.T.) dedicated 35 years of his career as an electrician to Cameron Iron Works, where he was known for his hard work and reliability. After leaving Cameron Iron Works, he went to work for FSI until he retired in 2019. His contributions to the company were significant and his work ethic was admired by all who worked with him.
Community Involvement
A committed community member, Jackie was part of the Fairbanks Masonic Lodge #1363, where he fostered camaraderie and shared values with his fellow Masons. He was also an active member of the First Baptist Church Cypress, where he participated in numerous activities and made lasting friendships.
Storytelling and Legacy
Renowned for his storytelling, Jackie captivated audiences with tales that entertained and inspired all who listened. His ability to weave a story was unmatched, leaving a legacy of laughter and wisdom.
Passion for the Outdoors
Jackie had a profound love for the outdoors, seizing every opportunity to hunt and fish. The tranquility and adventure of nature brought him immense joy and provided countless stories to share with friends and family.
Beloved Family Man
Jackie was the proud father of Cindy Bradford, Darrell Bradford, and Cheryl Bradford. His joy multiplied with each grandchild, and he was the happiest Granddaddy to Amber Redd and husband James, Casey Mayes, Cody Bradford and husband Tyler, Derek Bradford and Chandler Kasper and wife Taylor. He was a very proud Great Grandaddy to Dylan Ted Bradford and was looking forward to meeting the newest addition of Baby Kasper.
His seven siblings were also an important part of his life, and he cherished the bonds he shared with them. He is survived by his sisters, Connie Young and husband Bob, Faye Tucker, Ronada Bangle and husband Jay, Glenda Weldon and sister-in-law Kathleen Bradford.
Preceded in Death
He is preceded in death by his parents, JL Bradford and Oma Lee McCowan Bradford, as well as his twin brother Joe Fred Bradford, brother Earl Bradford, and sister Catherine Johnson. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.
Jackie Ted Bradford will be greatly missed by many friends and family. His legacy of love, laughter, and devotion will continue to light the way for those he left behind.
