Jack W. Ware

November 18, 1920 — March 24, 2015

Rev. Jack W. Ware, 94, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in Conroe, Texas. He was born on November 18, 1920 in Fresno, CA to Tom & Margaretha Ware. Jack graduated from Fresno High School and then continued his education to the University of California and Princeton Seminary. He proudly served our country as a Navy Chaplain during WWII. Although Jack spent many years as a Presbyterian minister, he also enjoyed his time he spent working as a tax consultant, school bus driver and a member of the Presbytery Commission. Jack was a pastor/minister at many churches- Brooklyn, NY; Leonia, NJ; Carolina Beach and Myrtle Grove, NC; Big Spring, TX; Pecos, TX; Houston, TX; Port Arthur, TX; Groves, TX; New Orleans, LA, and Georgetown, TX. Jack also served as interim minister in Sweeney, TX, Andice, TX, and Killeen, TX and clinical pastor internship at St. Lukes Hospital-Houston. He spent many hours volunteering at Conroe Regional Medical Center, San Jacinto Elementary, Meals-on-Wheels, Friendship Center, doing church pastoral care, tutoring, and various church youth groups and camps. He will be greatly missed.

Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Kerr Ware; his parents, Tom & Margaretha Ware; his brother, Don Ware; and his son, Chris Ware. He is survived by his sons, John Ware & wife Robin, & Charles Ware & wife Karen; grandchildren- Mary Ware, Adrienne Ware, Meredith Ware Morrow and grandson-in-law Chris Morrow, Tristan Ware, Ella Ware, and Molly Ware; and sister-in-law Daisylee Ware.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church, 2727 N Loop 336 W, Conroe, TX 77304. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Houston Area Parkinson Society ( www.hapsonline.org ; 713-626-7114).
