Irma Scott

Irma Scott, age 79, of Conroe, TX passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025 at her home in Conroe, TX.

Maria Irma Scott was born on March 7, 1946 in McAllen, TX. Irma was born to Benito and Margarita Infante. She was the oldest of 6 children. She was preceded in death by both her parents; her brother, Sonny Infante; and her beloved daughter, Amy Leann Ochoa. She leaves behind her husband, Greg Scott; son, Jason Scott; daughter and son-in-law, Cynda and Fred Hector; and her grandchildren, Anthony Ochoa, Natalya Ochoa, Lilyana Ochoa, Luke Ochoa, Ivy Ochoa, Violet Ochoa, Jacob Scott, Laila Bruch, Jace Scott, Ariana Amy Leann Scott, Freddie Hector IV, Savannah Hector, Tucker Hector, Henry Hector, Parker Hector, Brady Hector; sisters, Delia Finger, Elizabeth Guerra and Margaret Meurer; brother, Pedro Infante; nieces, Michelle Meurer, Veronica Lozano, Jennifer Guerra, Rachel Fernandez; nephews, David Infante and Brenden Finger. In addition, there are numerous cousins, aunts and uncles that she loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held on November 1, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Conroe, TX. A light reception will be held after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or The American Orchid Society.

Irma was born in McAllen, but raised in San Antonio, where she lived until her early adult life. Irma met Greg while working at the SWB Telephone company. A few years later they moved to the Houston area and eventually settled in Conroe where they raised their family. They were married for 56 years. Irma was best known for her love of teaching, having received her degree in education from Sam Houston State University at the age of 62. In addition, Irma loved all things quilting and sewing. She was a devoted wife and mother and the matriarch of her family.

The family would like to thank Enhabit Hospice for their dedication, love and care during the last year of her life.
