Heidi Lee Whitley, 69, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026. She was born on November 16, 1956, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Donald Prescott and Joan Carroll Brennick.
Heidi was a woman of faith whose life was shaped by service and compassion. She was known for her generous heart, steady kindness, and quiet strength, always placing the needs of others before her own.
She earned an associate degree and worked as a real estate agent, where she was respected for her integrity and dedication. Outside of her career, Heidi found fulfillment in helping others and living out her faith in practical, meaningful ways.
A lifelong dream of Heidi’s was to one day own a horse ranch dedicated to serving disabled veterans. This dream reflected her love for animals and her deep respect for those who served our country.
Heidi will be remembered for the way she lived—faithfully, generously, and with purpose.
Heidi is survived by her children, Philip Wells and his wife Meghan, and Candace Barnes Matthiesen and her husband Scott Matthiesen; her grandchildren Leah Wells, Jacob Matthiesen and his wife Alex Matthiesen, Justin Matthiesen and his wife Nicole Matthiesen, Abigail Matthiesen, Mikayla Barnes, Aidan Barnes, JD Matthiesen, and Isabelle Matthiesen; and her great-granddaughters Kinsley Lisa Edwards-Matthiesen and Kameron Nicole Matthiesen.
