Harriet Warfield "Hayo" Rodgers Stubblefield died on June 23, 2018, in The Woodlands, Texas. Harriet was born on June 19, 1961, in Memphis, Tennessee to Harriet and James Warfield Rodgers, Jr.
Harriet was preceded in death by both her father and her brother, James Warfield "Paco" Rodgers III. She is survived by her loving husband, Mark William Stubblefield; her son, Stephen Jones Stubblefield; her daughter, Therese St. Vigne Stubblefield of The Woodlands; her mother, Harriet "Hallie" Radcliffe-Canalli and her step father, A. E. Canalli; and two sisters, Lelia Rodgers of Houston and Therese Rodgers of Baytown, Texas.
Harriet began her schooling at The Hutchison School kindergarten in Memphis, Tennessee. At the beginning of the 8th grade, she joined her two sisters at All Saints Episcopal School in Vicksburg, Mississippi, where she graduated in 1979 with the honor of being chosen Miss All Saints. Following high school, Harriet attended Rollins College in Winter Park Florida, studied ballet and studio art, enjoyed her affiliation with Chi Omega, and graduated with a BA degree. Upon moving to Houston, she enrolled at the Art Institute of Houston, and graduated with a degree in Interior Design. She enjoyed a career spanning over two decades in the hospitality industry and was currently the manager for Rudyards British Pub and Grill.
A memorial service for Harriet will be conducted at 11:00 in the morning on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church, 6221 Main Street in Houston. Immediately following the ceremony, all are invited to greet the family in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may direct memorial contributions in honor of Harriet to: Vitas Care Connection (VCC), 3131 Eastside, Ste 200, Houston, TX 77098 or to a charitable organization of your choice.
