Gregory Dean Scott

Gregory Dean Scott, age 65, died on February 3, 2016. He was born on August 28, 1950 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Greg spent much of his childhood as an Air Force brat, moving frequently. He finished high school and college in Upstate New York and gained many life-long friends along the way. He received his degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton via a G.I. Bill. He served his country with the US Marines in Vietnam from 1969 through 1970.

After Greg’s parents retired to Corpus Christi, Greg found his way into the oilfield industry in 1982. Starting out as a wireline operator, Greg worked his way through many positions in the oil patch ending up in sales and sales management. He was a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Greg is survived by his son and best friend, Zachary Scott; parents, Jack W. and Frances M. Scott; sister, Jackie Radle and husband Rusty; brothers, Michael, Martin and David Scott; aunt, Rosalie Harmon; and many other relatives.

Friends are invited to celebrate Greg’s life at a memorial service which will be held at 3 pm on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Eickenhorst Funeral Services, 1712 N. Frazier and Wilson, Ste. 115, Conroe, Texas 77301.
