Gregg Christopher “Chris” Pate passed away unexpectedly at Southeast Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, TX on August 26, 2020, at the age of 46.
Chris was born on May 8, 1974 in Houston, TX to his mother, Cynthia Ann Baker, who raised him. He graduated from Clear Brook High School in 1992. Chris was a jack of all trades. There was nothing that he could not repair or rebuild. Although he battled his own demons, he would have given anyone the shirt off of his back and he cared deeply for his family and friends. He was his grandmother's favorite grandchild and spent as much time as he could with her. Chris was a huge movie buff and could quote you any movie line from any genre. His greatest happiness came from watching The Avengers: Infinity War with his son Mayson. He enjoyed the outdoors, biking and skateboarding. He loved sports, with basketball being his all-time favorite. Chris will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Chris is survived by his son, Mayson Blue; his beloved mother, Cynthia Ann Baker; a sister, Lisa Pate; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lenny and Gerry Marks, and also his uncles, Randy and Kerry Baker, to which he was particularly close.
