Gloria Dean Ross

Gloria Dean “Phillip” Ross (née McDaniel), 78, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, in Humble. Born on October 31, 1947, in Oklahoma City, Gloria lived a life defined by strength, perseverance, and love of laughter.

Raised in Midwest City, Oklahoma, Gloria carried a resilient spirit throughout her life and touched the hearts of those who knew her with her infectious laughter and enduring presence. She faced life’s challenges with courage and grace, leaving behind a legacy of love and determination.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Fannie Lou Bowman and Hollis Alvin McDaniel; her brother, Leonard McDaniel; her sister, Raeleda Wheeler; husbands, Terry Rhodes, Richard Martin, and Robert Ross, and grandson, Andrew Perkins.

She is lovingly remembered by her three daughters, LaVonda Byrne, Tommye Butcher, Christina Maxwell, step-son, Robert Ross Jr., and grandchildren, Brittany and David Perkins, Brendan Weaver, Cole, Ian, Abby, and Ashton Maxwell, Robbie, Madelynn, and Lee Ross along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory always.

Though she is no longer with us, the love, strength, and memories Gloria shared will continue to live on in the lives of all who knew her.

A Memorial Service honoring Gloria’s life will be held on June 27, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Kingwood Methodist Church, located at 1799 Woodland Hills Dr, Kingwood, TX 77339.
