Gerald (Jerry) Pitchford

Gerald (Jerry) Pitchford, age 70, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 12, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents Luke and Ruby Pitchford.
Gerald was born on December 7, 1945 in Houston Texas and was a graduate of San Jacinto High School. In August of 1964, he enlisted in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War as part of the 82nd Airborne Division ranked as an RA-Engineer and was honorably discharged in August of 1967. In his professional career, Gerald had his own brick laying business. Aside from work, he spent much of his time at the VFW Post 4709 in Conroe, Texas and was a member of North Central Assembly of God Church in Spring, Texas.
Gerald is survived by his wife Janet Pitchford; his brother James Pitchford; children Michelle Pitchford Gray, Mike Pitchford, Leslie Marie “Lessy” Ford, Joshua Pitchford; stepchildren Monica Atwood, Arnold “Butch” Frasier; as well as 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The family requests that any donations be made to the VFW Post 4709 at 1303 West Semands St. Conroe, TX 77301.
