Gene E Stone

Gene Ervin Stone, age 80, passed away on July 13, 2015. He was born in Ft. Worth, Texas on February 4, 1936. Gene moved to Houston as a child and attended Catholic boarding school. He met his first wife, Jo Anne Walkinshaw, at Jeff Davis High School. They were married in 1953 and for 50 years when Jo Anne went to her final resting place. They had 6 wonderful children together. In 2003, Gene married Betty Meanor and gained a wonderful extended family. He served his country in the US Army. He was a member of Mims Baptist Church where he loved going every Sunday. Gene enjoy the time he spent as a Shriner. He lived a full life and will be greatly missed by all.
Gene was preceded in death by wife, Jo Anne Stone. He is survived by wife, Betty Stone; children- Gene E Stone Jr, Karen Pietrowski, Donna Linke, Linda Mcintosh, Ronald Stone and Sharon Bradley, step children- Sandy Stotts, Donald Meanor, Krysti Penny and Bill Meanor Jr; grandchildren- Wendy Karstedt, Justin Boatright, Dana Minton, Jennifer Linder, Jeremy Bradley, Krystal Cheek, Julie Hardy, Ryan Stone, Ross Stone, Jessica Smith, Alisha Pietrowski and David Pietrowski;
step grandchildren- Kevin Stotts, Natalie Stotts, Tyler Meanor, Barrett Penny, Abby Penny, Gracie Penny, Lacey Meanor and Cayden Meanor; and many great grandchildren to mention but no less loved.
