Martha Gayle Strouhal York, 66, of The Woodlands, Texas, passed away on September 28th, 2021. Gayle was born on June 9th, 1955 in Paul's Valley, Oklahoma to Ray and Martha Strouhal and grew up in the Humble, Texas area. She was yearbook editor at MacArthur High School and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1973. Gayle also advanced to the highest level in Girls Auxiliary, Queen-Regent-In-Service. As a young adult, she excelled at floral design, and later worked in the banking and client service industries.
Gayle had a wonderfully caustic sense of humor, and her wit, intelligence, and creativity couldn't be matched. Her children meant everything to her, and both have many fond memories of living room movie night sheet-forts. She loved pandas, pepe-le-pew cartoons, Tinkerbell, and thought pink flamingos were hilarious. For most of her adult life, she was a "cat" person, until she adopted and fell in love with Charlie- a brindle dash hound mix that misses her greatly.
Gayle is survived by daughter, Bonnie-Bleue & her husband Jacob Gonzales; son, Erik York; her beloved aunt Mary & uncle Ted Dinklage; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and relatives in Texas and across the United States.
