Gamaliel Magaa, age 64, died unexpectedly on December 18, 2012. He was born on September 9, 1948 in Apatzingan, Mexico. He served in the Mexican Army from 1964 through 1969 before serving in the Acapulco, Mexico police department from 1971 until 1972. He was also part of the 1968 Mexican Equestrian Olympic Team. Even though he had very little formal education, he possessed great everyday knowledge and was willing to share that knowledge with anyone who wanted to learn. His greatest accomplishment was coming to the United States and eventually bringing his family to join him. Gamaliel's favorite pas times included cooking, fishing, gardening and singing. Often times, he would sing while he was doing something else. Those moments where he had the opportunity to sing were his happiest. He was one of the greatest men to have ever lived. His greatness isn't measured by his wealth or material possessions. His greatness is measured by the amount of kindness and love he shared with everyone who knew him. He was always willing to give so much of himself without asking for anything in return. He always made it known how much he cared for and loved his wife, children and family. He will forever be missed by everyone and will never be forgotten. He is survived by his wife, Linda K. Magaa; children, Rodolfo Magaa, Victor Magaa, Regina Flores, Andrew Magaa, Christopher W.
