Faye Murphy, age 73, passed away on May 22, 2016. She was born on April 19, 1943 and was raised on a tobacco farm in Apex, North Carolina by Cecil and Hazel Upchurch. They moved to Greensboro, North Carolina when Faye was a young teen. Faye moved to Houston, Texas in 1976 with her daughters. She was a project manager for residential construction.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel Apple Upchurch and Cecil F. Upchurch, and is survived by her husband, Michael S. Murphy; children, Mandy Albritton and Tammy Joiner and her husband Jerry; grandchildren, Ryan Albritton, Ashley Albritton, Trey Joiner and wife Allison and Joseph Joiner ; and numerous great grandchildren.
As Faye requested no formal services at this time, a Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date. For those desiring, contributions may be made in her name to Special Graces, PO Box 841895, Pearland Texas 77584.
