Evelyn Cathey Hosford

Evelyn Cathey Hosford, age 86, passed away on November 12, 2017. She was born on August 2, 1931 in Granger, Texas the middle child with two older brothers and two younger sisters. She graduated from Midlothian High School at the age of 16 years. At her first job out of high school, she was quickly promoted to the position of executive secretary to the president of Maytag. She retired after 30 years at Bell Helicopter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Marion Cathey and Charlie Robertson Cathey; her husband of 57 years, James Hosford; brothers, James William Cathey and Donald Eugene Cathey; and sister, Patsy Ruth Cathey. She is survived by her daughter, Cathey Lindquist and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Christopher Shane Wheeler and wife Ginger and Gavin Kyle Wheeler and wife Rachel; great grandchildren, Shane and Shawn Wheeler, Chase, Tyler, Justice and Avery Duncan and Mikayla and Dylan Guy; great great grandchild, Rylee Michelle Wheeler-Larriviere; sister, Nancy Bowen and husband Jerry; sisters-in-law, Gladys Cathey and Frances Brunette; and many nieces and nephews.
