Ethan Andrew Hardey, age 21, passed away on April 7, 2017. He was born on November 15, 1995 in Houston, Texas to John and Mary Beth Hardey. Ethan was a beautiful blue-eyed, towheaded little boy who loved Winnie-the-Pooh, Buzz Lightyear and Legos, adored the Harry Potter books and movies and was always eager to explore. He attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School, The Woodlands College Park High School and Lone Star College.
Baseball was always Ethan’s passion. Both he and his sister, Erin, wore #21 in honor of Roberto Clemente. He was an amazing catcher and all around phenomenal baseball player. He played little league, he was on numerous all-star teams, played Select baseball and was on the St. Anthony’s and College Park baseball teams. In the past 2 years, he went totally disinterested to an avid fan of FIFA soccer and especially Manchester United. He loved to play board games and cards with his family and they will always remember and miss his beautiful smile, laugh and loving and generous heart. He remained active at St. Anthony and with the Knights of Columbus.
Ethan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Anna Mae Henderson and Al Hardey. He is survived by his parents, John and Mary Beth Hardey; sister, Erin Hardey; his aunts and uncles, Janet and Bob Cunningham, Tom and Trish Hardey, Frank and Patty Hardey, Gretchen and Z Wieckowski and Laurie and Alan Emerson; and numerous cousins and other relatives.
