Emanuel Diehl, age 73, died on April 24, 2021. He was born on August 23, 1947, in Navasota, Texas the youngest of 17 children born to Mike and Katherine Diehl. He grew up on a dairy farm and went to Montgomery High School.
After graduating, he left to enter the US Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. He married Dianna Lee on June 30, 1969, after leaving the Army. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad, after working 39 years as a car man. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and also a member of the VFW Post 581.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his other brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Dianna Diehl; daughter, Marianne Lynn Caldwell and husband Chadwick Ryan; son, Shannon Joseph; grandson, Austin Ryan Caldwell; sister, Betty Venn; and brothers, Mark, and Pete Diehl.
The viewing will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Plantersville, TX. The graveside and burial will follow immediately at 11 AM in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
