Edward McKenzie, a native of Portsmouth, Ohio and longtime resident of Conroe, Texas, passed away on May 1, 2026, following a courageous battle with congestive heart failure.
Edward was a proud union man and a skilled master mason whose craftsmanship helped shape schools across the United States, particularly throughout Ohio. His work also extended to Texas, including contributions to Porter High School. He took great pride in his trade and the lasting impact of his labor.
He was known for his integrity, strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment to his word. Edward lived a life rooted in faith, generosity, and compassion for others. A man of deep spiritual conviction, he found strength in the Lord and often reflected on his favorite scripture, 1 Corinthians 12.
Edward will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He faced his illness with remarkable courage and resilience, leaving behind a legacy of strength and faith.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel K. Clark; his former wives, Deanna and Dixie; his companion, Ginger Bradberry; his sister; his daughters, Brittany McKenzie and Candace McKenzie of Kentucky; and his aunt.
He was preceded in death by both his parents and his brother.
