Eddy Mcdonald

February 12, 1956 — August 13, 2023

Eddy Eugene McDonald was born Sunday February 12, 1956 to Ellis R. and Maggie (Rains) McDonald, leaving this world Sunday August 13, 2023. He is survived by his ex-wife Lorraine Lewis and his daughters Heather Jones, Faith Levit, April Gorelik, and Victoria McDonald.
Eddy grew up in Rockford, Illinois, and after completing grade school enlisted in the US Army. He would serve from 1970-1973 during the Vietnam War and return home to Monterrey, California. Years later he transplanted to Texas where he met his wife of 21 years and settled in San Antonio.
He lived out his life in both the Texas Hill Country and Houston areas, creating tons of larger than life memories. Some of the best being time spent camping, taking road trips, and partying with friends and family. Eddy was an avid outdoorsman and had a passion for working with his hands.
Always the entrepreneur, Eddy headed companies and used his creative talents to build everything from art-deco inspired furniture to food trucks. He especially loved to express himself through the things he designed and built.
He enjoyed motorcycles all through his life and kept riding as a hobby as long as his body allowed him, finally trading in his bikes for classic cars.
Eddy was truly a unique soul and will forever be missed on this Earth. Brother, Dad, and Grandfather. Enjoy your forever ride in the sky, Old Man!
