Douglas Edward Reisig, age 71, of Magnolia, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, surrounded by love, laughter, and probably a football game playing somewhere in the background.
Doug was known for his quick wit, generous heart, and unmatched devotion to his family, friends, and the eternal hunt for Bigfoot — a quest he pursued with the same enthusiasm most people reserve for dessert. He loved a good meal (especially if it came with seconds), a great song, a friendly conversation that turned into laughter, and any chance to cheer on his favorite football team.
He is survived by his loving wife Brenda Reisig, his brother Jon Reisig, his stepdaughter Samantha Bonds, and adoring grandchildren Kyndal and Korbyn. They will remember him for his humor, his kindness, and his uncanny ability to turn an ordinary day into a good story.
Doug lived his life much like some of his favorite songs — full of rhythm, warmth, and full of good stories. His legacy will live on through all the smiles and laughter he had throughout his beautiful life.
A celebration of Doug’s life will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at 2pm, the way he would have wanted — at home, with his family and friends, watching the Texans game— surrounded by good food, and even better stories.
Rest in Peace Doug, God Bless You, Amen.
