Douglas Wayne Hanna, age 60, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 24, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 10, 1959 in Talihina, Oklahoma, the fourth of six children. He lived in Houston, Texas until he moved to Arkansas at an early age and attended school. He returned to Houston to graduate from Northshore High in 1977 with perfect attendance throughout his academic life. One month later, he married his high school sweetheart and they had two children, Chasity Ann Hanna in 1978 and Chad Dwayne Hanna in 1980.
In 1987, he moved his family to Conroe and started his career as a commercial and residential painter, where he met many of his lifelong friends. He also dedicated 23 years of his life to the Common Wealth Center and 17 years serving Promed. His outgoing personality and dedication inspired and touched everyone around him. He was loved and admired by many and his legacy will live on in our hearts and memories.
Douglas was preceded in death by his brother, Stevie Hanna, as well many other relatives and loved ones. He is survived by his children, Chasity Ann Hagan and husband Jonathan Hagan, Sr. and Chad Dwayne Hanna and wife Sarah Hanna; grandchildren, Victoria, Veronica, Jonathan, Jr., Laura, George, Kimberly, Travis, Douglas and Jacob; loving mother, Billie Franks; brothers, Terry and Jimmy Hanna; sisters Cathy Gilbert and Debbie Brock; aunts and uncles, Alice and Gilbert Jacobson, Fronie and Harold Laird, Patsy Tipton, Patsy Hall, and Ruthie Logan; and many, many more relatives and loved ones that will miss him dearly.
A private graveside and burial service will be held in Willis Cemetery in Willis, Texas.
