Donna Kay Smith Linke, 65, of Conroe, TX, gained her wings on April 5, 2022, after a long health battle. She rejoined her heavenly family, who she often missed. Her passing was unexpected as she was sick often, but she always pulled through. God had bigger plans for her this last time. It would be wrong to say she lost her battle because she fought to the very end. She was always determined. Through her, we truly knew what resilience and perseverance truly looked like. She shared her love of food as she loved to cook, and boy was her food good! Her children often made special requests as there was nothing like momma’s home cooking. She learned that from her momma JoAnne. There is not anything she would not have done for her parents, kids, grandkids, siblings, or friends. She was a caring and compassionate person. She loved people and never met a stranger. Mom could be loud at times but that was just mom. To know her is to love her. She was a handful for sure. Cody and Chrissy were her pride and joy. Those two could do no wrong in her eyes even when their mothers thought otherwise. She was a little hardheaded, well maybe a lot hardheaded. She always did things her way. No one could tell her any differently. Many often tried. We all know that didn’t work out. She had a loving heart and soul who would do anything for you. We know when she entered heaven, her husband Mike, father Gene, and mother JoAnne were there to welcome her with open arms and guide her to God. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gene and JoAnne; husband, Michael Linke; brother, Ronnie Stone; Survived by her two daughters, Wendy Karstedt (husband) Sonny Karstedt and Jessica Smith; siblings,, Rocky Stone, Karen Pietrowski, Linda Mcintosh; Sharon Bradley; grandchildren, Cody Karstedt and Chrissy Smith. Her life was a living example of the bible verse, Ephesians 4:32- “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ”
Flowers can be sent to the funeral home. The funeral for her will be a private ceremony for the family.
Revelation 21:4, "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
