Dianne Elizabeth Bodman Darling, age 56, passed away peacefully at her home in Montgomery, TX on May 10, 2014. She was born in Ponca City, OK on April 11, 1958. Dianne was raised in Lake Charles, LA and Houston, TX. Generally, she was protected by (but also burdened with) her four older brothers, at least until she met and married the real love of her earthly life, Floyd Darling. As a youth, she particularly enjoyed the arts and music, taking up the flute during her high school years. Dianne graduated from Northbrook High School in Houston and received her Bachelor's degree in English from the George Mason University. Dianne worked for a number of different organizations during her working life, most recently as 9th grade Assistant for the Montgomery School District. As she matured, Dianne took on a greater appreciation of the finer things in life, mainly those things that centered on her family and her spiritual growth. It could easily be said that anyone who met Dianne realized her kind and gentle spirit. Dianne was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conroe. Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, John I. and Corinne E. Bodman. She is survived by her loving husband, Floyd Darling; their daughter Sarah Hope Darling; brothers, John T. (Jack) Bodman, Steve Bodman, Michael Bodman, and Philip Bodman; and numerous relatives and friends. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dianne's brothers, Jack, Steve, Michael, and Philip Bodman.
