Diane Elizabeth Standridge

Diane Elizabeth Johnson Standridge, age 79, passed away on January 4, 2013. She was born on December 29, 1933 in San Pedro, CA. Diane was raised in San Pedro graduating from high school there before attending secretarial school. She married the love of her life, Billy Standridge and was a military wife for the nearly 30 years that her husband served in the Navy. Together, they traveled from the Pacific coast to the Atlantic coast during the time Billy served. Diane worked in the auditing department for Sears & Roebuck for 20 years, before serving as assistant to a local judge in Crystal Beach, TX where her and Billy resided for many years. Diane enjoyed gardening and absolutely loved Christmas time. She decorated beautiful trees and Christmas villages for her family to enjoy. She had a passion for animals, sharing a longtime companionship with Mai-ling, her precious pomeranian that passed on before her, and she leaves behind her beloved dog Mimi who held a special place in her heart. Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Carrol and Hazel Johnson; and brother, Robert Johnson. She is survived by her loving husband, Billy Standridge; children, Karen and husband Kenneth Setliff, Richard Standridge, Billy Standridge, and Debbie and husband Pride Gingery; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Shirley and husband Harold Ericcson and brother Carrol Paige, Jr. and wife Hovita; special lifelong friend, Sharon Huffine; longtime friends, Sharon and Johnny Hardy and Rose Trimble; and numerous relatives and friends.
