It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Diana Faye Harrington Wheeler, age 78. She was born on December 16, 1947, in Port Arthur, Texas, and went home to be with Jesus on December 21, 2025, in The Woodlands, Texas.
Diana was the oldest of four children born to Clarence “Red” Harrington and Alzina “Dean” Gerard Harrington Gardner. She grew up Catholic in Port Arthur, Texas, and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, where she met and later married her high school sweetheart, Tommy Joe. In 1970, they moved to the Houston area, where Diana dedicated more than 40 years to Finger Furniture and Ashley Furniture, serving faithfully in customer service, billing, and accounts management. After the passing of her husband in 2013, she moved to Montgomery, Texas, to live with her daughter and be closer to family.
Diana loved helping others and cherished time spent with family and friends. She especially enjoyed visiting, playing games with loved ones, and sipping her beloved Coca-Cola. Nurturing by nature, she helped raise her youngest brother and always watched over her siblings with care. Taught by her mother at a young age, Diana learned to sew and was known in her high school years for making her own clothes, complete with matching shoes. She also had a love for jewelry, always sparkling and beautiful, a reflection of the woman she was inside and out.
Diana is survived by her daughter, Michelle R. Borne, and son-in-law, Michael P. Borne; her grandchildren, Randi R. Kramer and S. Trevor Howard and wife Rachel; her great-grandchildren, MaeLeigh and Liam Smith, Henley and Harlan Howard, and Tommy Kramer; her sister, Linda Elam; her brother, Kenneth Harrington and wife Janice, and their children; as well as her sisters-in-law and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Joel Wheeler; her brother, Joe Harrington; and her grandson-in-law, Korbin Kramer.
Diana will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her generous heart, and the steady love she gave so freely to her family and all who knew her.
