Diana Ann Clark, affectionately known as “Momma D,” passed peacefully at Memorial Hermann in The Woodlands on August 1, 2026. She was born on March 30, 1944, in Arnaudville, Louisiana, to Mary G. Richard and Frank Richard.
Momma D loved to bake to perfection and found joy in sewing beautiful apparel. She was rarely without a melody, often singing and humming her favorite gospel, blues, and zydeco tunes, filling every room with warmth and love.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela Denise Clark; four grandchildren: Jordan Michael Caffery, Retired Veteran SGT. Ian Timothy Clark, Tangie Tenay Jean-Batiste, and Alisa Faith Davis; and four great-grandchildren: Noelle Jolie Jean-Batiste, Aiden Manwell Davis, Queen Alisa Davis, and Josiah Reign Davis, along with a host of loving relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Penelope Marie Richard; her parents, Frank and Mary Richard; her brothers, Wilton Richard, Leon Murphy Richard, and Joseph Edmond Richard; and her sisters, Laura Richard-Eaglin, Helen Richard Charles, Clara Mae Richard Pickens, Louvenia Richard Eaglin, and Josephine Richard-Williams.
Momma D will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her nurturing heart, and the love she poured into her family and community. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched, the Creole traditions she passed down, and the memories that will forever be cherished.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the prayers, support, and expressions of love during this time.
