It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of SMSgt Dennis Frank Miller on Friday, March 14th, 2025, at the age of 76. Dennis was born on November 8 th , 1948 in Elgin, ND to Joseph and Anna (Mayer) Miller.
After moving around to multiple homesteads throughout North Dakota and Oklahoma, Dennis joined the United States Air Force in 1966. Dennis met Donna Olive, his beloved wife of 50 years in 1973 in Miami, Fl. From there they started their adventures together travelling the world and never stopping.
Dennis served in Vietnam and throughout his Air Force career in the crucial role of weather maintenance, analyzing weather conditions, issuing warnings, and briefing pilots, ensuring mission success.
Dennis had a distinguished career of 22.5 years, and retired at the rank of SMSgt in 1989. He began his second career in Richardson, TX at Fujitsu working in fiber optic telecommunications. Dennis and Donna entered an early retirement in 2001, continuing their adventures on the road, this time with their RV and boat. The list of hobbies are too great to list, but include ham radio and most importantly fishing. Among all his proud accomplishments, in retirement his claim to fame was catching a crappie in all 48 contiguous states and freshwater fish in all 50.
