Dena Hines Barnett

Dena Hines Barnett was born April 15, 1930 in Kaw City, Oklahoma as passed away from this earthly life into the arms of Jesus on May 18, 2016 at Caring Hands nursing facility in Porter, Texas.

Dena was married to Jack Lee Hines for 24 years before he died in 1969. She married Sam Barnett in 1974, who passed away from this life in 2002. Dena was preceded in death by her two husbands and son, James Hines. She is survived by daughter, Nancy Wolf and husband, Rodney; sons, Jack Hines and Bill Hines and wife, Mindy. Grandchildren are Jennifer Green, Paul Hines and wife Dirusha, Matt Hines and wife Sharon, Rex Wolf and wife Heather, Ryan Wolf and wife Laura, Rebecca Steinbach and husband David and Tiffany Warden Hines. Great grandchildren are Whitney Marquardt and husband Adam, Hannah Hines, Selah Wolf, Eden Wolf, Jillian Wolf, Sara Kate Steinbach, Elisabeth Steinbach, Caroline Steinbach, Micah Wolf, Caleb Wolf, J.T. Wolf, Will Hines and Elizabeth Hines, and great great grandchildren, Colton Marquardt.

Dena was a long time active member of the Rothwell Chapter No. 669, Order of the Eastern Star, where she served in several leadership roles. Dena became a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ when she was 17 years old at Bethel Baptist Church. She served him faithfully every single day of her spiritual journey. She gave selflessly to family, friends and her church. She is an example for all as a humble servant in the Lord’s Kingdom. Her reward will be great.
