Debra Sue Duggan

Debra Sue Duggan was born on August 31, 1962, in Houston, Texas, to Clarence Marshall Duggan and Margaret Sue Locke. She passed away on August 25, 2026, just six days before her 64th birthday.

Debra grew up in North Houston and attended Sam Houston High School, though she also spent much of her childhood in Montgomery County. Shortly after graduating from high school, Debra began her career with Southwestern Bell, where she worked for several years. She later spent many years in the service industry, including much of her time at Hyden's Dockside Restaurant, where she met many treasured, lifelong friends.

In 1982, Debra welcomed her only child, Crystal Nicole Simpson Bledsoe. Debra proudly told everyone that Crystal was the purpose of her life and that she chose to stop at one child because she had already gotten perfection.

Debra loved the Lord and was passionate about sharing her faith and witnessing to others. She loved the beach, the water, and anything that allowed her to be near it. She enjoyed watching The Young and the Restless and listening to all types of music, especially classic rock and praise and worship.

Debra was a devoted animal lover. Her beloved dogs, Sweet and Tigger, were with her for many years and were truly like children to her. Although they preceded her in death, the love and companionship they shared remained a treasured part of her life. She loved Mexican food, trying new restaurants, and spending time with the people she loved.

Debra did not simply have friends. She collected people from every walk of life and loved them deeply. She had a gift for building friendships everywhere she went, and those friendships were among the greatest treasures of her life. People rarely just like Debra. They loved her.

Above all else, Debra cherished her family. She adored her grandchildren, her great granddaughter, and her nieces and nephews. Her love for them was immeasurable, and she was endlessly proud of each of them.

Debra is survived by her daughter, Crystal Bledsoe and her husband, Aric Bledsoe; her grandchildren, Bailee Roberts and her husband, Chase Roberts, Lukas Bledsoe, Logan Bledsoe, Attison Bledsoe and Harlie Bledsoe; and her great granddaughter, Milena Roberts.

She is also survived by her sister, Robin Jaimes and her husband, Oliver; her brothers, Weldon Locke Jr. and John Duggan and his wife, Vallie; her nieces, Dana Martinez and Shelby Elder and their families; her nephew, Jacob Jaimes and his family; as well as her great aunts, extended family, and the countless friends she cherished so dearly.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Marshall Duggan and Margaret Sue Locke; her stepmother, Anna L. Duggan; and her stepfather, Weldon Locke.

Debra's life was defined by her faith, her friendships, her unmistakable personality, and her fierce love for her family. She leaves behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, music, and memories that will continue to live in the hearts of everyone who loved her.
