She is preceded in death by her mother, Tharyn “Deen” Davis; her father, Leslie Kersh; her sister, Dana Knight; and two infant sons.
Deborah is survived by her daughter, Angelique Moore (Richard); daughter, Michelle Mendoza (Francisco); eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; sister, Jane Cearley (Rodney); brother, Clayton “Bubba” Kersh (Donna); brother, Robert Davis (Anna); sister, Tammy Weins (Brian); sister, Brenda Via (Tony); sister, Courtney Dykstra (Bobby); and sister, Megan Ratto (Jim).
Debo was a hard act to follow, and one of a kind. She worked hard, sometimes holding multiple jobs to provide for her daughter, and spent a majority of her life working for Compaq computer company before she retired. She was as frugal as they come, and was always finding ways to repurpose things. She loved penny shopping and spending time with her grandbabies. She enjoyed dancing, singing karaoke, playing bingo, cruises, and going to the beach. If she was invited to something, she always showed up. If you needed help, she would always do what she could and be there for you. She was always smiling and seeing the best in situations. Deborah was well loved and will be missed by many.
As a last symbol of her passion to save money, Deborah’s wish was to be cremated. All friends and family are invited to her Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 13, 2023. It will be held at The Met Church, 13000 Jones Road, Houston, TX 77070.
