David Lamar Luttrell

David Lamar Luttrell went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 24, 2012 after battling lung cancer. David was born on December 11, 1947 in Ada, OK to Calvin David and Mercile Beatrice Luttrell. He was raised in Houston, TX where he graduated from Sam Houston High School and attended the University of Houston. David then answered his call to duty and joined the Navy. After serving one year in the area of DaNang, Vietnam, he earned the Vietnamese Medal of Honor for his service. In 1972, David finished his Navy career and set out for north Texas to begin his career in the private world. David is survived by his wife, Connie Malone Luttrell of Conroe; daughter, Amber White of Pearland; sons, Marcus Luttrell of Tomball and Morgan Luttrell of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Kayla, Jessy, and Anthony of Pearland, and Axe and Addie of Tomball; brothers, Phillip Allan Luttrell and family of Spring, Don Luttrell and family of Benton, LA; sister, Cheryl Wilson and family of Greenville, TX; and many close friends and loved ones. A celebration of David's life will be held at Malone's Pub in Conroe at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lung Cancer Society in David's honor.
