David Luther Griffin

David Luther Griffin, age 47, passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2012. He was born on February 13, 1965 in Fort Worth, TX and raised in North Richland Hills. David served in the United States Coast Guard as a Petty Officer 3rd Class. He worked in Arizona and Colorado in the construction/oil and gas industry before moving to Houston where he joined Kellogg Brown and Root as a Health Safety and Environment Coordinator. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed time spent fly fishing, camping, and boating. David was a faithful husband to his beautiful wife Gretchen, sharing life's journey and making many precious memories with her. He was a member of Tree of Life Lutheran Church in Conroe. David was preceded in death by his father Billy Griffin. He is survived by his loving wife, Gretchen; mother, Betty Griffin; sister, Cathy Davis; brother, Robert Griffin; and numerous relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a memorial fund established by Tree of Life Lutheran Church in David's name benefiting Lutherhill Ministries.
