David Walter Defnet

David Walter Defnet passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at home on February 7th, 2017. David was born on June 25th, 1965 in Racine, WI to Dexter C. and Mary L. Defnet and was one of three children. David attended public schools and graduated from Case High School in Racine Wisconsin. David had an active childhood and was involved with Indian guides, swim team, tennis and competitive skiing, along with being part of the crew on his father’s sailboat.

David went to college at Regis College in Colorado for his freshman year and then transferred to Arizona State University at Tempe where he received his Bachelor’s Degree. David was a ski instructor at the American Club in Wisconsin, and Heavenly Mountain in Nevada and was an avid skier his whole life. He was also an amateur race car driver and water ski enthusiast. For his professional career, he was a Commercial Airline Pilot for Continental and then United Airlines after they merged.

David is preceded in death by his father Dexter C. Defnet. He is survived by his mother Mary L. Defnet, his brother Paul J. Defnet, sister Renee Defnet Murphy.

The family will be having a memorial service to celebrate David’s life later, and ask that in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made in David’s name to the Montgomery County Food Bank, 111 S 2nd St. Conroe TX, 77310. www.montgomerycountyfoodbank.org
