Darrell Eric Brumek was born February 5, 1978, in Conroe, Texas, and left us far too soon on November 18, 2023. Eric was the son of Linda Joyce Brumek Kennedy and the late Raymond Charles Brumek Sr. Born the youngest of five children, Eric held a very special place in his Mom’s and siblings’ hearts.
Eric was a wonderful father, brother, son, uncle, and friend. There is nothing in this world that he loved more than his son, Damien, and he spoke of him every single day. He loved God and prayed daily. Eric was a nature and animal lover and would bring home any animal that was abandoned or hurt. He would hop over an ant or insect on the sidewalk so as not to hurt them.
Eric loved rap music and loved playing it loud. He worked out almost daily, doing push-ups, pull-ups, and lifting weights. He loved his family fiercely and would do anything for them. He was a great friend, always quick to forgive even after being mistreated.
Eric worked in the moving business for many years, then worked as an installer for park and playground equipment. He was always willing to lend a hand to his family whenever they needed help. Eric loved laughing and cutting up with everyone. He was especially good at teasing his nieces and nephews.
Eric is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Brumek Sr. Eric is survived by his son, Damien Eric Brumek; his Mother, Linda Joyce Kennedy; sisters Sandi Raimer; Stephanie McLemore and husband Curtis, Bridget Pizzi, and husband Jim; brother Raymond “Bubby” Brumek Jr.; nieces and nephews Meagan, Aimee, Shane, Stacey, Jake, Sarah, Donnie, Forrest, Sydney, Kaelob, Brayden, Tesla, and Lisa, as well as many aunts, cousins, grand-nieces and nephews, extended family, co-workers and many friends that loved him dearly.
In honor of Eric's memory, contributions can be made to any of his sisters, to be used for his 8-year-old son, Damien.
May his kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for life remain in our hearts forever and always be our guide.
