Dale Smith

Dale Smith, age 84, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday May 7th, 2013 peacefully while sleeping at his home in Conroe, Texas. He spent countless hours in his many gardens tending his vegetables and fruits for canning and sharing with his family and friends. His early life was spent on a farm in the Southern Ohio River Valley where he raised numerous varieties of farm animals and grew fields of corn for feed. He also worked in various jobs but spent most the majority of his life working as an owner and operator of his trucking business. A son of the late Adinijah Smith and Bethel Crites, he was born on July 21, 1929 in Rutland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by brothers, Dudley Smith (Addie) and Wilburt Pierce; granddaughter, Debbie Smith; grandson, Dylan Nagle; daughter-in-law, Andrea Smith; and son-in-law, Fred Nagle. He is survived by his loving wife, Valjean; his children, Phyllis Jones (Chris), Stanley Smith (Debbie), Jeffrey Smith (Andrea) and Darlene Clifton (Dec); grandchildren, Lisa Nagle, Fred Nagle Jr (Lisa), Aimee Shelton (Darren), Misty Hargrave (Joe), Charity Smith, Robert Edward Clifton, Kreston Clifton, Roger Clifton II, Christian Birewirth, Dameon Birewirth, Dustin Smith (Dayna), Dana Birewirth (Ashley); 24 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
