Curtis Lee McDaniel, age 60, passed away on Christmas Day in Palestine, Texas. He was born on June 24, 1958 in Houston, Texas. He grew up developing a huge passion for hunting, particularly coon hunting and was a member of the Midway Hunting Club. In his professional career, he was a truck driver, but he was also a painter. Above all, Curtis was a strong believer in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Curtis was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Gibson McDaniel; father, Leon McDaniel; and his brother, Eddie McDaniel. He is survived by his children, Curtis McDaniel Jr. and wife Jennifer, and Jeremy McDaniel and wife Crystal; grandchildren, Emily, Ariele, Bailee, Lacey, Brooklynn, Eastyn, and Jordyn McDaniel; mother, Louise McDaniel; sister, Ann Aubuchon; aunts and uncles, Lula Montgomery, Betty Allen, Darlene Hansbrough, and Monroe McDaniel.
Friends are invited to visit with the family at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Eickenhorst Funeral Services, 1712 N. Frazier St. #115 Conroe, Texas 77301. The funeral service will then start at 11:30 A.M. A graveside service will be following at 2 P.M. at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, Texas 77039.
