Christopher Craig Lucy

March 24, 1978 — July 23, 2025

Christopher Craig Lucy, age 47, passed away on July 23, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Born on March 24, 1978, in Ventura, California, Christopher brought joy, humor, and light into the lives of everyone who knew him.

Chris spent his early years in the loving care of his grandparents, Mary Ellen Craig and Lewie Craig, who played a vital role in shaping the kind-hearted man he would become. His childhood was filled with adventure, especially during the many camping trips they took together with his cousins. Each summer, they made cherished memories beneath the towering trees of Sequoia National Park—one of Chris’s favorite places on earth. These experiences would root in him a lifelong appreciation for the natural world and instill in him the values of family, connection, and simplicity.

He graduated high school in 1996 and later went on to build a strong and steady career. Christopher worked for Continental Airlines, which later became United Airlines, for 15 years. Following that, he continued his dedicated work ethic at UPS for another 7 years. In every workplace, Chris was known for his reliability, integrity, and willingness to go the extra mile.

In 2013, fate brought Brooke into his life. The two quickly fell in love and were married on October 13, 2014. Their love story began in Old Town Spring, where they enjoyed meandering through antique shops, marveling at oddities, and even ghost hunting together. It was a whimsical, one-of-a-kind connection built on laughter, shared passions, and mutual devotion. Chris was a devoted husband who delighted in life’s small, meaningful gestures—he made Brooke a perfect cup of coffee each morning and often left her little surprise notes filled with love and encouragement.

Chris’s love for nature ran deep. He found peace in the outdoors, and every summer, he and Brooke would escape to Galveston—a tradition they kept not for himself, but because he knew how much the ocean soothed her spirit. He was selfless that way. He also had a fondness for the Renaissance Festival, where he and Brooke would dress like Vikings, laugh heartily, and feast like royalty.

To his children, Christopher was more than just a father—he was a hero, a friend, and a safe place to land. He shared a special bond with his son David, with whom he spent countless hours gaming. One of David’s fondest memories is the time his dad surprised him with a midnight game release—and even let him skip school the next day so they could play together uninterrupted. That was Chris: fun-loving, generous, and present.

Chris had an infectious laugh, a heart full of compassion, and a spirit that made people feel at ease. He was the type of man who was always ready to help, who never hesitated to lend a hand or a kind word. He was loyal, deeply loving, and remarkably thoughtful. Simply put, he was the sweetest soul—a gift from God whose presence blessed every day of the 12 beautiful years Brooke shared with him.

Christopher is survived by his loving wife, Brooke Lucy; his sister, April Wolfe; and his four cherished children: Corbin Lucy, David Craig, Olivia Lucy, and Lillian Lucy. He also leaves behind two beloved pets—his cat, Blu, and his dog, Ruff Ranger—who were as much a part of the family as anyone.

He often said, “Fight the good fight,” a phrase that perfectly captured his resilient, courageous nature. His legacy will live on in the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the family he leaves behind.

Though his time with us was far too short, the impact Chris made will last a lifetime. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
