In 1992 she married William (Bill) Meeks and had a son and a daughter. Chris is survived by her son, William (Will), 25; daughter, Katia, 22, and Bill Meeks; her parents, Carole and Barry Pixler and her sister, Jennifer Pixler; her Aunt Chris and Uncle Tom Stubblefield and cousins, Karen and Andrew Stubblefield. Her first year out of college, Chris taught primary elementary students with reading challenges in Needville, Texas and the following year she taught in Houston, Texas. She also spent a short period of time living in California near her close childhood friend, Linda Clark after which time she moved to England to be with Bill, who would become her husband. Before their children became school age their family was fortunate to have lived in New Orleans, Louisiana, where William was born; Cele, Germany, Katia was born in Hanover, Germany; then back to the United States in Plano, Texas; where Chris was baptized, after which time they then settled in the Woodlands, Texas.

When Chris was a young girl she enjoyed acrobats, gymnastics, cheerleading, and was always a cat lover. She got her first cat, Snookie, as a college student when she was attending OSU. From then on she almost always had a cat(s), most recently her companions were Trini and Sassy. She always enjoyed music and concerts, restaurants and great food! Chris always had a deep faith and loved Jesus. Heaven gained a Beautiful Soul when Chris entered those gates. She will be forever and always in our hearts!
