Christine Jacobs Kellogg, born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on April 21, 1921 went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 6, 2020 in Conroe, Texas.
Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Carver Kellogg, grandson, Blake Logan Weber, and step-son, Carl Kellogg Jr. , both parents, Tennie Leroy Jacobs Sr., and Mary Alice Jacobs of Hattiesburg, two older sisters, Maxine Andrews and Allene Gilmore, two younger brothers, William (Billy) Jacobs, and Tennie Leroy {T.L.} Jacobs Jr.
She is survived by 3 children, Stephen Kellogg and wife, Vickie, Carolyn Hill and husband Richard, and, Kimberly Weber and husband Bert. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren: David Tubbs, Ashley Weber Rogers and husband Nick, Sean Kellogg, Natalie Weber, Christy Hill Yankey and husband Aaron, Ryan Weber, Laurie Hill Price and husband Ryan, Lindsey Weber, Jonathan Hill and wife Emily, Chad Weber, Kalyn Hill, Grady Hill, Grant Weber, Dylan Weber, Whitey Weber, Logan Weber, and Courtney Weber, as well as 10 great grandchildren… and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a phone operator and a dental assistant in her younger years and enjoyed giving out samples of Borden’s Ice Cream for her husbands company while being an active wife and mother for her busy family.
In the last years of her life, Christine lived at the Wellington Assisted Living facility in Conroe, Texas where she was cared for by the most loving souls on earth. They were so kind and sweet to her, and she kept them giggling with her sweet smiles and piercing blue eyes. She was a member of Gracepoint Baptist Fellowship in Magnolia, Texas. She loved chocolate, old movies, Days of our Lives, The Gaither’s Southern Gospel music, chocolate pie, Popeye’s chicken, Biscuits and Tomato gravy, Chocolate cake, Red Lobster Coconut Shrimp, and anything CHOCOLATE. Did I mention, chocolate?
You will be missed, sweet Mom, MawMaw, Aunt Kick! You’ve got more family on the other side of the veil than this side…and we know they all have been waiting on you for the party, probably somewhat impatiently. But you always were late to everything. So we say “So long, see you later”, and send you on your way. Give everyone our hugs and kisses. Until we see you again…We love you!!
She will be buried alongside her husband and close by her grandson at Forest Park Cemetery, The Woodlands, on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 2:00p.m., followed at 3:30pm by a Celebration of Life at the Chapel in the Woods, Woodlands Church, 1 Fellowship Dr., The Woodlands, Texas. The family dinner and reception will be held at 5:00pm by the members of Gracepoint Baptist Fellowship, 426 Corporate Woods Dr., Magnolia, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be sent to an account set up for Christine’s great-grandson, Arthur Michael Yankey’s future medical expenses.
