Cherrye Lynn Vaughn

February 1, 1953 — March 27, 2019

Cherrye Lynn (Marble) Vaughn, age 66, passed away in Groesbeck, Texas on March 27, 2019. She was born on February 1, 1953, the youngest daughter of Claude and Louise Marble. Her family moved to Houston in 1954, where she went to school and graduated from Milby High School. She joined the Moose Lodge at the age of 13. She eventually married the love of her life, Jerald, and together they raised two sons and created many memories and blessings. Cherrye worked as a secretary and office manager throughout her career in the transportation and chemical industries. While their sons were in sports, you would always find her at the ball park, cheering them on. She loved her family dearly and was so happy when she finally got three granddaughters.

She was one of the happiest people around. Never met a stranger. She loved everyone! Loved hugs! She could light up any room and was always so joyful! She had a contagious laugh and the biggest heart. I’m sure she’s enjoying her coke, eating watermelon and listening to country music all while being pain free. Once you were a part of Cherrye’s life, you were always a part of her life. Everyone was always welcome into her heart, home, and her life.

Cherrye was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Rayford Marble. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jerald M. Vaughn; children, Jeff Vaughn and wife Jenny, Chris Vaughn and wife Angel; grandchildren, Jaclyn Vaughn, Aubree Vaughn, Averee Vaughn, Kristin Lacey, Macy Westerman, and Stevie Westerman; siblings, Mary Massey and husband Jimmy, and Thomas Marble; aunts, Bessie Mazzuca Lee and Mozelle Rhodes; as well as many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
