Charles ("Chuck") Alfred Masters, 65-years-old, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 5, 2013 after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. He lived a life of unwavering faith in Christ that provided a wonderful testimony to all those who spent time with him. Chuck was born in Watonga, OK on March 20, 1948 to James and Ruth Masters. Known for his contagious smile and charming personality, he was able to bring joy to others throughout his life. He was always hard at work and began his career mowing lawns in the community at 11 years old. Throughout college he served as a radio DJ for KTLQ in Tahlequah, OK and KOCY radio in Oklahoma City, OK. He graduated with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University where he met the love of his life Marcia. After graduation, he spent time as a production manager and sales engineer in the Oil and Gas industry. In 1986, Chuck decided to begin his own company, Masters Equipment Inc. in Tulsa, OK and ultimately moved his headquarters to The Woodlands, TX under the name Masters Process Equipment Co., which is still in operation today. Chuck loved sports of every fashion. He was a standout athlete in high school for football and baseball and played football in college for two years before knee injuries ended his career. Even after his playing career was done, his passion for sports spread to his sons, and he was always involved in their sports teams whether as coach, league commissioner, umpire, or sponsor. Chuck was a passionate supporter of the Oklahoma State Cowboys and a longtime season ticket holder for the Houston Astros and Houston Texans. Despite all of his involvement in work and sports he is best known for his heart to give. No matter his circumstances financially or physically, he was always ready to faithfully give his time, money and expertise whenever or wherever it was needed. He was actively involved with supporting the growth of churches both locally and around the world. If there was a genuine need in the community of faith, Chuck was always ready to generously give. As he leaves us, we are blessed with numerous wonderful memories of his loving kindness, generosity, infectious smile, and his fervent commitment to make a positive contribution to everything that he became involved in. All of our lives are better for having known Chuck. He taught us all so much about how to live in a manner that glorifies Christ until the very end.
